Topic/Literacy
Read the text and look at the pictures of the arctic animals below.
I would like you to make your own book about the arctic animals we have just looked at. You will need to get a piece of white paper (or any colour that you have) and fold it in half like a card. On the front cover I would like you to write the title Arctic Animals by and then write your name. Have a look at the picture of my front cover. You can decorate your front cover if you would like to.
Now, on the next 3 pages, the 2 pages inside and the back page, I would like you to write about each of the arctic animals on a separate page. I would like you to have a go at drawing the animal and then underneath, either, write the name of the animal (with help from your grown-up if you need it) or a sentence about the animal. When you have completed that, you will have made your own book! I can't wait to see them.
Phonics
Today I want you to practise the ch and sh sounds again. I would then like you to sort the pictures into ch and sh pictures. Tell your grow-up what the picture is and if it begins with ch or sh.
Maths
Start by warming those brains up first. Ask your child quick fire questions. What comes after 3? One more than 4. One less than 7, count back from 5/10/20.
Now you are ready to play the game. Choose the numbers that suit your child’s ability.
Physical
The physical activity today is dancing with the trolls. I hope you enjoy a good boogie!
Well done everybody, you have been super stars! Please say thank you to your grow-up for helping you with today's home learning. Miss Edwards and I are really enjoying seeing the pictures your grown-ups have emailed to me and we are missing you loads.
Time to relax and enjoy a story.
See you for tomorrow's home learning.
