Reminder - School closes at 3pm Friday 14th February 2025 and will open again on Monday 24th February 2025 at 9am.

Week beginning 28th June

In Science this week we have been looking at the similarities and differences of flowering plants that might be found in a garden. We used the hand lens to examine the stems, leaves, flower head and petals of the different flowers and learnt some new flower names.

In Art we learnt about the work of sculptor Andy Goldsworthy, who likes to work with natural finds to create his sculptures. We used the flowers and some of our ‘finds’ from the school garden and made our own relief sculptures.

In maths this week we have been continuing with our division work. We have been learning how to share amounts into equal groups. There are some extra activities below if your child would like to practise at home.

Just a reminder that on Tuesday we have our sponsored Danceathon and mile – don’t forget you can wear your own clothes.
