Today’s activity is to write some facts about what you have learnt about Chinese New Year and how people celebrate.  There are some pictures below if you want to use them but you don't have to.

Let’s start our lesson with our warm-up to recognise our sounds and tricky words. If you already know all your sounds and tricky words, you can skip this bit.

Today we are going to start with a counting in 2's warm-up.

You did really well with the addition word problems yesterday, so today we are going to try some subtraction word problems. Don’t forget there are many ways you can find the answers. Use the way you like best.

  • Use objects from around the house to take away.
  • Draw tens and ones.
  • Use ‘make 10’ strategy.
  • Use your head and hands to count back.
