Hello Reception 1 families
What a great week we have had! The classroom was filled with fantastic, colourful, odd socks on Monday as part of National Anti-Bullying week. In class the children designed their own pair of odd socks. The children continued to find out about friendships, what a good friend looks like, how they speak to each other with kind words and how to help somebody make a new friend. Your children are all very caring and had some lovely ideas about how to be a good friend.
In phonics the children have learnt h and b, please encourage them to practise these sounds at home. In maths we have be consolidating our knowledge of the fourness of 4 and fiveness of 5. We have continued with our topic by finding out about healthy and unhealthy foods and drinks. The children been very creative with the models they have built in the construction area.
On Friendship Friday the classroom was filled with yellow just like the sun! Each child picked a name of another child from a pot and made that child a friendship bracelet - they were fantastic! We watched a short video explaining what Children in Need is and the children then collaged their own Pudsey bear.
Oliver has passed our medal over to Bawan this week. Bawan is always a happy, smiley little boy who has grown in confidence in class and always tries his hardest.
Miss Edwards and I would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a very happy weekend.
