Wednesday 3rd March
Good morning 1C! I am looking forward to seeing you on Zoom this morning!
Firstly, I'd like to point you to our page which tells you about an exciting day we are going to have on Friday, have a look at the link below.
Phonics
Today here is a video about 'alternative spellings' for the sound ee, and a wordsearch for you to complete.
Many of us in 1C love dinosaurs so I thought you might like to play this game today. You need to read the sentence and decide if it is true or false.
English
Today your activity is to retell Handa's Surprise in your own way.
Here is a video explaining a little bit more about it, and there is a writing frame underneath. If you would like to draw your own pictures or use any photographs you took yesterday then of course you can do that. You can be as creative as you like!
Our word of the day is friends
Did you have a go at different ways of writing the word of the day yesterday? Today you could make up a song about the word 'friends'?
I have friends, they are called 1C, they are great company!
Maths
Today we have a White Rose Maths video and a worksheet to go with it for our work on comparing lengths and heights.
Wellbeing Wednesday
As it is Wednesday, have a look at our activities for this afternoon.
Well 1C I cannot believe you have done EIGHT WEEKS of learning and keeping safe at home. The grown ups have had their own work they've had to do at home too, so well done 1C children for being patient and kind, as well as hard working, just like the superstars I knew you would be.
Next week when we are in school we are going to have FUN, check each other are all ok, and play together as well as seeing how far you have come with your learning. So try not to worry about coming back. We have PE with Mrs Murphy on Monday as well as Scootfit so please wear what you would for a Zoom - smart uniform tops with comfy bottoms!
I shall hand you over to Mrs Al-Noah for Thursday and Friday, and we will both see you in school next week with Mrs Khan and Mr Cartwright too!
If you have butterflies in your tummy on Monday morning - just imagine me telling you that we are going to have so much fun the day will fly by!
I can't wait to see you then,
Lots of love Mrs O'Connell xx
