Week beginning 18th May 2020

This week we are going to learn all about animals and how they can be grouped. In the animal kingdom, scientists have thought of a really good way of putting animals into groups that share the same things. Find out about the different animal groups.

There are some activities here to complete online.

Or you can sort the animals into groups. There are lots of animals here that you might need to do some extra research to find the answers. We have included the animal group poster as a reminder of how to sort animals into groups (you only need to use it for the groups we have looked at).

Why not try and make your own animal pop-up card or book with animals hidden under the flaps?

Can you improve your drawing skills by learning how to draw some new animals with these step by step guides?

Why not listen to French composer Camille Saint-Saen's musical suite 'Carnival of the Animals'. What musical instruments can you hear being played?

Carnival Of The Animals Part 1

Bugs and Daffy's Carnival of the Animals Part 2

Parent note - We have chosen a child friendly version starring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. There are lots of videos where you can listen to the whole suite without interruption if you prefer.
