Week 2
Hello Reception 1 families.
This week has been about farm animals and their young. The children have done a super job identify animals that live on a farm and learning to recognise the animals and their young.
The children have been very imaginative and built some fantastic models and farms with the wooden blocks. We have made our own woolly sheep with cotton wool balls.
Fun has been had playing The Farmer's In His Den outside and taking turns to be the different characters.
In phonics we have learnt the 'ng' sound and in maths we have been findings ways to make 10 and finding one more and one less within 10.
It is World Book Day next week. Check your emails for a letter from Mrs Dempsey. On Wednesday, we have a very special treat! A comic artist will be coming in to work with all the classes! On Thursday, the children are invited to come to school as their favourite comic character or to just dress up for fun.
