Literacy
At the start of a new year lots of people make New Year resolutions. You may have heard your grown ups talk about what they are hoping to do in 2021. Resolutions are usually about doing things to improve yourself or to try to get better at something. This year mine are to try to read more books and do more exercise!
Can you write about your New Years resolutions? It may be to work on a new skill or improve on something you can do quite well already. It might be about how you treat others or how to be more fit and healthy. It could be to make sure you read every night or to make your handwriting really good. Write a few sentences about your ideas. Remember to use capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. You can email a copy of your work to me. I can’t wait to read them!
Physical Activity
On a Thursday afternoon we normally have a lesson with Mr Shingler. I thought it would be good if you could have a go at one of his workout videos that he made for us last year. It’s a great way to keep active.
Remember how Mr Shingler was helping you to improve your ball control skills? You had lots of practice dribbling and tackling. If you can , get a football and go outside and keep practising these skills. You will become great footballers!
For the last two days of this week I I thought it would be fun for you to have a go at some of the winter themed activities on the White Rose maths website. They are good activities for getting your number brain working again ! There are five different activities for you to try.
You can also try to work the answer to these maths problems. You can do this with fingers ,counting on or back .You may find that your number bonds to 10 knowledge will help you.! ( hint hint) If you need to you can use counters to work out the answer. You can ask a grown up to read the questions for you.
