Watch another video of the Journey story.
Does the story seem different with different music playing? This music is a bit more jolly. Did the music yesterday seem more magical?
The story has no words . We do not hear the girl speak but we know that she will be thinking about what she sees and about what to draw next. We have looked a little bit at thought bubbles in books before. They are different to speech bubbles and look like this
They show us what a character is thinking, not what they are saying. Do you think that sometimes people might say something but be thinking something else ?
Today I would like you to write some thought bubbles for the little girl in the story. You can choose any scene from the story and draw your own thought bubbles to write in. Or , you can use the sheet below.
Ideas for thought bubble writing:
I feel bored/ lonely .
I wish I had someone to play with .
Wow !This is a magical place .
I am excited but I am a bit scared .
I like my new friend .
Riding a bike is fun.
Word of the day to read and practise writing ( you could write it in a sentence)

If you are still not sure of your number bonds to 10 I have made a little video using the numicon to help you.
Today you will be working with Ms Charlton from Oak National Academy as she explains how to subtract using the 'make 10' strategy. You will need a pencil and paper to help you with this lesson. There are two videos to work through today. Just like our addition work this is a new way of working for subtraction which you may find tricky at first.
If this new way proves too tricky, then please keep using your objects or counting back using your number line or in your head instead.
Why don’t you try this activity for fun to practise your subtraction skills?

Do you remember how we used to have Circle Time in school? This was a good opportunity for us to talk about lots of different things, especially feelings. As we can’t do this at the moment I thought I would share a book with you instead. After you have watched the video, you could talk with a grown up about somethings that worry you. Then you could think of ways to help the worries go away or not seem so bad.
Hope you have a super weekend and well done for all your hard work this week .
