Week 6

What a fun packed week Reception 1 have had!

We have enjoyed playing at the Easter table, making Easter cards and hats. The fun has also continued outside, along with an egg hunt with Mrs Walkden.

The children took part in a science week activity exploring magnets. They thoroughly enjoyed using the magnets to find the golden eggs containing treasure (magnetic items) hidden in the chest. Following that the children made magnet faces.

The children's skills and balance have developed in gymnastics

The children decorated an Easter basket to bring home the Easter biscuits that they mixed, baked and decorated. Continuing along the food theme, we have also tasted toasted hot cross buns and made chocolate crispie cakes.

We are very pleased to say that the beans the children have planted are now continuing to grow in the pots.

Our caterpillars have now formed cocoons! The children are very excited to see butterflies. Miss Edwards will be keeping watch on them throughout the holidays.

Thank you to all the families who bought raffle tickets and well done to those who won a prize.

Miss Edwards and I would like to say a big thank you for all your continued support throughout this term. We hope you have a super Easter break and look forward to seeing you all on Monday 17th April ready to start our summer term.

Take care
