Hello R2 Families
Wow! We have completed our first half term at school! Well done to all of the boys and girls and to you for all of your support.
This week we had some spooky fun as Halloween approaches. We read the classic children's story Meg and Mog in Drawing club and the children made some amazing recipes in their cauldrons! We had an outdoor Halloween scavenger hunt too, which the children were very excited about!
In maths we have taken some time to work on number formation of numerals 2 and 3, which are both quite tricky. We continued our topic work too and talked about foods that are healthy and we need lots of and foods that aren't and we need much less of. I was very impressed at the children's knowledge around healthy eating.
Thank you to everyone that came to the Harvest Assembly, it was such a lovely event and the children did us all proud with their confident performances!
After the holidays we will begin find out about festivals of light! We'll have some Bonfire Night fun and learn about the Hindu festival of Diwali!
In the meantime, enjoy this half term, snuggle up as the nights draw in and enjoy your time together.
