Hello R2 Families!
It has been yet another lovely jubbly week in R2! This week, we have been talking about the importance of being active and exercise. We did a Joe Wicks work out, the children followed him on the IWB and they were really super! We talked about how their bodies felt afterwards. In contrast, we then talked about how important rest and sleep are. We did a lovely mediation story and we all felt very relaxed (in fact, a couple of children fell
asleep)
We are well into Level 1+ of out Floppy's Phonics programme, the children love it and engage with it so well. This week, I have written the specific sounds that your children need more practise with, in their reading records.
Next week, as part of our topic and as we continue to find out about being healthy, we will talk about eating a healthy, balanced diet. We will continue to explore numbers and the different ways they can be represented. It's our last week of Autumn 1 (where did that go?!) and the children have almost filled their class marble jar, so there will be a lovely class treat at the end of the week! This is so well deserved, the children have been amazing and continue to make me proud every day.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend
Mrs Cook xx
