Hello R2 Families!
It has been lovely having everyone back this week and we have hit the ground running!!!! We've been learning about Bonfire Night and finding out a little about Guy Fawkes. Importantly, we have chatted lots about keeping safe on Bonfire night. We made some eye catching information posters about Bonfire Night Safety...

We watched videos of real bonfires and created some fab bonfire collages using hot colours!
In maths, we have been learning about repeated patterns. We had a go at continuing and copying my patterns and then children created their own repeated pattern. This trickier than it looks! The children did a great job and listened carefully...
Most importantly, we have all enjoyed settling back into school and touching base with our friends...
Next week is national Anti Bullying Week. This can be a difficult thing for young children to get their heads around but we will talk about being good friends to one another, celebrate being unique (don't forget to wear odd socks on Monday to celebrate being different!) and we'll discuss behaviour that is kind and unkind.
We'll share the story 'The Smartest Giant in Town' in Drawing Club and we'll mark Remembrance Day on 11th November. A busy week!
A few reminders...
Please be sure to read regularly with your child at home, it is so important and it really makes a huge difference to their reading progress. Thank you.
Please be sure to send your child into school with a fresh bottle of water every day.
I have got lots of jumpers and cardigans that are unnamed. If you have one missing come and see me and Mrs McKee after school to see if it is there.
Don't forget to wear odd socks on Monday to mark Anti Bullying week.
Thanks everyone. Have a lovely weekend!
