Week 1
Welcome back R1 Families.
I hope you have had an enjoyable break.
In class this week the children have discussed bonfire and firework safety. They had some great ideas! The children each made a safety poster. Some of them showed off their creative talents by using chalk to draw some fantastic firework pictures. Other children used the Clever Sticks to create fireworks.
In maths we have been exploring pattern - making patterns with sounds and movements and looking at repeating patterns. The children enjoyed completing the Bonfire Night repeating patterns.
As always, the children have impressed the PE coaches.
This week they have really been working together in their play and in their model building. They really have showed 'team work'.
It is nice to see children enjoying our books in the midst of the classroom.
Next week
We are taking part in Odd Socks Day on Monday (yes, even the teachers too!).
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday or Thursday next week for Parent's Evening.
