Week 3
Hello Everyone
This week R1 have been busy representing 6, 7 and 8 in maths, subitising and showing these numbers on a tens frame using different objects.
We have learnt the sounds x and y in phonics and practised forming the letters n and h correctly in our handwriting. Both of these have been sent home in your child's reading folder.
In our topic work we have explored different types of transport and how we can travel from one place to another using these different types of transport. The children have been busy creating their own transport pictures and have created some fantastic transport models with the stickle bricks and blocks! We have a very creative class!!
Thank you for the fabulous pictures that were emailed to me of your children's solar system mobiles and pictures - they were very impressive! This week I have sent home another craft for anyone who would like to make it. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
Just a reminder that PE is on Tuesday and Friday. Also, please can you send your child to school with a named bottle filled with water daily, that we can refill throughout the day.
