Kung Hei Fat Choi!

This week we have loved finding out about Lunar New Year. It is an exciting, colourful celebration and we have loved taking part in some lovely crafty activities. On Monday we will come into the hall and all of the EYFS children will come together for a Chinese Dragon Dance!

In maths we have been exploring some new, tricky concepts, odds and evens and doubling. We have done lots of practical activities using 10 frames, IWB activities and the children have tried very hard.

As part of our Think Equal, PSHE scheme we have been exploring Kindness together. We have had circle times to talk about this, share our experiences and think about the importance of Kindness in school and at home. We came up with some class promises. Look at Archie being kind and giving the fruit to his class at snack time!

In PE, the children have needed to really listen to, understand and carry out instructions. Mr Shingler was so impressed and gave the class tokens for their individual efforts.

What a lovely week we have had! Next week, we will continue with our 'What a Wonderful World' topic and learn about families around the world. We'll talk about our own families that live around the world and find them on a world map.
