Week 2
Hello R2 families
Thanks for a lovely first full week at school! The children (and yourselves) probably slept well last night, I certainly did!
This week we have enjoyed PE with our dance and gym coaches. The children really got stuck in and impressed the coaches. We have been playing a lot, in both our indoor and outdoor classrooms and have been getting to know one another. We have been establishing routines and expectations and have chatted a little about our class promises.
Next week we will begin the Reception baseline Assessment. You were emailed on Wednesday about the RBA, by Mrs Dempsey so please have a read. We will also begin our Phonics Scheme 'Floppy's Phonics'. Also, reading folders will come home next week. There is an up and coming 'Meet the Teacher' session that will inform you of our EYFS Curriculum, including Phonics and reading routines.
Please note, that children that wear earrings will need to take them out, for safety reasons, on their PE days, which are Mondays and Tuesdays.
