Week 3
Hello R2 Families!
This week has been busy and fun! The sunshine really helps!
In maths we are beginning to explore addition and subtraction. We have used ten frames and counters to visually add and take away. We have been introduced to the + - = signs and have played addition and subtraction games on the IWB.
This week we have talked about VE Day and learnt some happy songs that were sung at the end of WW2. We made Union Jack flags and found out what the colours on the flag mean. We celebrated VE Day in the playground with the whole school by waving our flags, singing and dancing together.
We have loved the sunny weather and the children have enjoyed being outside as much as possible. It is going to be a hot week this coming week so please make sure your little people are weather ready.
