Hello R2 Families
This week we have been busy finding out about one another's families and the special people in our lives. The children have been speaking with pride and confidence They have enjoyed drawing pictures of their families and they will look lovely on display alongside the family photos from home.
In maths we have continued to explore matching, sorting and comparing and in phonics we have learnt 't' and 'p'.
We began Drawing Club this week and explored the story 'Simon Sock' by Sue Hendra. I was so impressed by the children's enthusiasm, artistry and imagination.
We also began yoga in Tuesday's PE session. The children absolutely loved it! They listened and participated so well. Yoga will take place on Tuesday going forward and will need to come to school in their PE kits every Tuesday please.
We've escaped the showers too and enjoyed playing outside in the fresh air.
A big thank you to those of you that came to the Meet the Teacher meeting on Wednesday. I hope that you found it useful. I have sent home a copy of the presentation to the families that couldn't attend
Next week we are going to talk about and find out about our homes, what we do there, what things are in them and what makes them special. A big thank you to everyone for your support with phonics homework and home reading, what a brilliant start to this year's home learning.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
