School closes Thursday 23rd October at 3pm for Half Term

Week 4

We have had a lovely week!

We are really getting into phonics now and have enjoyed working together as a whole class and individually in our workbooks. Thank you for completing the Floppy Phonics homework, your support will really benefit your child.

In maths we continue to work with numbers to 5 and have explored the many ways that these numbers can be represented i.e. on a number line, on a dice, on fingers, numicon, with movements etc.

This week we stepped back a bit from our topic to talk about the Autumn Equinox and the changes that we can see taking place around us in nature.

The children are continuing to forge friendships, which is so lovely to see. They enjoy exploring and playing together in provision...

On Thursday, we received a special visit from Alice Penny from Stretford Children's Theatre. She came to meet the children and share the joys that SCT brings. Every child has come home with a special adventure token, which can be redeemed for  free taster session at SCT. The children had a wonderful time with Alice!

I can't believe that it is week 5 next week! Mrs McKee and I look forward to seeing you on Monday for another fab week!

Have a good weekend!

Mrs Cook :)
