Hello R2 Families
First, I'd like to wish many of you Eid Mubarak! I hope you enjoy your family celebrations together!
I'd also like to say thankyou to all the parents that i have met with so far for Parent's Evening. It was lovely having the opportunity to celebrate your brilliant children with you.
This week we have found out about the seasons and the months in the calendar that fall in each season. We found out about Mothering Sunday, it's origins and why our Mummies are special. The children took time and care making you a lovely card, I hope that you like them! For those of you that are gathering with loved ones on Sunday for Mother's Day, have a lovely day!
In maths we have been finding out about 3D shapes. This can be a tricky area of maths as there is lots of new mathematical vocab to secure. Here is a catchy little song and animation that you can listen to with your child. Try looking for common 3D shapes in the environment too.
PE with Mr Shingler was exiting this week. The children were learning to do the long jump. They were all brilliant! Rig was Gold champ, Rosie Silver and Noa was Bronze!
I am yet to see some of you for Parent's Evening on Thursday and look forward to that. We look forward to seeing some of our children returning from their Eid celebrations on Tuesday. Have a really lovely time and we can wait to hear about what they got up to when they return.
Have a good weekend
Mrs Cook x
