Hello R2 Families
This week we have begun to talk about our 'Brilliant Bodies' and the things we need to do to take care of ourselves. We started to talk about the importance of keeping clean. We shared a cautionary tale called 'Georgie Grub' about a little boy that refused to have a bath! We talked about the importance of handwashing with Mrs McKee and the children ordered instructions for what to do. We enjoyed making eye catching information posters reminding people to Wash Your Hands!
We have been very busy in maths this week and have been learning about measures, including capacity, size and weight. We especially enjoyed investigating and making predictions about which objects is heaviest or lightest.
The children are working hard to form letters correctly. We have begun learning to form the Curly Caterpillar letters. We practise together on the carpet and then in small groups with an adult. The children have each brought home a sheet to practise 'c' and 'a' this week and it would benefit your child if they practised at home please. We'll bring home 2 letters at the end of each week for you to support your child with. Thank you ![]()
I hope to see some of you later on at the disco! Have a lovely weekend everyone.
