Week 8
Hello R1 families.
Miss Edwards and I have had a super Autumn 1 half term with your little people! They have really settled well into school life and have made some lovely friendships.
This week we have enjoyed learning about the Hindu and Sikh festival of Diwali and Harvest. We joined R2 where Mrs Singh came to talk to the children about how special Diwali is to her. She shared a lovely book with us and the children went on to make their own Diva lamp, moulding and shaping it with their hands.
All the children were absolutely fantastic taking part in our Harvest Festival on Wednesday. They were so well behaved and their singing was amazing! Miss Edwards and I were so very proud of them! The children enjoyed making a pumpkin collage hat to fit in with our Five Perfect Pumpkins song.
Next half term our 'Getting to Know Me and Getting to Know You' topic will continue. We will continue to find out about our bodies and will focus on our 5 senses.
I hope you all have a super half term break and look forward to seeing you all refreshed on Monday 3rd November.
